Terms of service
Last updated: July 17, 2026
Welcome to sitio. These terms explain, in plain language, how we work. By hiring any sitio plan or service (“we,” “us”), you agree to these terms. If anything is unclear, ask before you sign. Straight numbers, long friendships.
1. Who we are
Sitio is an online web design studio operating out of Raleigh, North Carolina, serving the Burlington-Greensboro area. We build and manage websites, Google profiles, and ordering systems for local businesses.
2. Our services
Each plan (Personal, Presence, Growth, All-In, Partner) includes exactly what the Plans page lists at the time you sign up. The final scope, with your exact price, is confirmed in writing after your free analysis. Work outside the agreed scope is quoted separately before it happens.
3. Pricing and payment
Every plan has a one-time setup payment and a monthly fee. Published prices are “starting at” prices: your exact number comes from your free analysis and is fixed in writing. The monthly fee is auto-charged each month. If a payment fails, we notify you and retry; after 15 days unpaid, monthly services (maintenance, reports, changes) pause until the account is current. We never shut off your domain over a short delay. We talk first. The setup payment is non-refundable once the design is approved and the build has started, because it covers work already done. You see your site live before paying the rest: if after the first design preview you decide not to continue, you only pay for the proportional work completed to that point.
4. What’s yours
Your domain, your content (text, photos, menus, brand), and your accounts (Google, social, ordering system) are in your name from day one. Once the setup payment is complete, you receive a full, permanent license to use your site’s design. If you cancel, you keep your domain, content, and accounts; we hand over all access within 14 days.
5. What’s ours
The internal systems, templates, components, and processes we use to build sites remain sitio’s property. We may show finished work in our portfolio and sales materials. If you’d rather your business not appear, tell us in writing and we’ll remove it.
6. Timelines and revisions
Most sites launch within 2 to 3 weeks of receiving your content. Every project includes two rounds of revisions on the initial design; extra rounds are quoted separately. Timelines depend on you delivering content and approvals on time; client delays extend the calendar at no penalty to sitio.
7. Cancellation
Monthly plans cancel with 30 days’ written notice (WhatsApp or email count). On cancellation, your domain, content, and accounts are yours; site hosting transfers to your name or shuts down, your choice, and monthly services end at the close of the paid period. We reserve the right to end service with 30 days’ notice, handing over all access.
8. Third-party services
Your site relies on third-party services (Framer, Google, Square, WhatsApp, payment processors). We don’t control their outages, price changes, or policies. We’ll flag any significant change and propose alternatives, but we’re not liable for third-party interruptions.
9. Advertising and promotion (forward notice)
In the future, sitio may offer paid advertising management (Google Ads, Meta, and similar) as an add-on service, always with your written budget approval and clear reporting on every dollar. We may also use general, anonymized client results (for example, “a local restaurant grew direct orders”) in our own promotion, never revealing private data or identifiable figures without permission.
10. Warranties and limits of liability
We promise professional, honest work. We can’t guarantee specific outcomes (Google rankings, order volume, or sales) because they depend on factors outside our control. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 6 months before the claim. We’re not liable for indirect damages (lost profits, lost data, or reputational harm).
11. Responsibility for your content
You confirm that you own or are licensed to use all content you give us (text, photos, logos, menus, trademarks) and that your business complies with the laws that apply to it. You are responsible for the accuracy of prices, promotions, health or allergen information, and any claims about your products or services. We may decline or remove content that is illegal, misleading, or infringes third-party rights.
12. Indemnification
You agree to hold sitio, its owner, and its collaborators harmless from third-party claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your products or services, or use of your site in violation of these terms.
13. Late payments and suspension
If a monthly payment is more than 10 days late, we may pause the site and services until the account is current, with prior notice. The first reactivation is free. We never delete anything without first offering to export your content.
14. Force majeure
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control: third-party platform outages, natural disasters, power or internet failures, or acts of authority.
15. Dispute resolution
If something goes wrong, let’s talk first: we commit to trying to resolve any dispute in good faith for 30 days before any legal action. If unresolved, disputes will be brought before the courts of the State of North Carolina.
16. General provisions
These terms are the entire agreement between you and sitio for these services. If any part turns out to be invalid, the rest remains in force. Not enforcing something once does not waive our right to enforce it later. You may not assign this agreement without our written consent.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA. Any dispute will first be addressed through direct, good-faith conversation.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; significant changes are announced to active clients 30 days in advance. The current version always lives on this page.
19. Contact
